Mark's Aircraft Refurbishers was established by Mark Howse at Krugersdorp in 2007. Our history began way back when Mark started flying Sailplanes in Zambia in 1969. Mark went solo only years later at Magalies Gliding Club in 1988.

In 1991 Mark got involved with repairing sailplanes as a part time job. During 2003 Mark started repairing and refurbishing sailplanes and motor gliders as a fulltime job  for Jonker Sailplanes.In August of 2007 he established his own company called “Mark’s Sailplane Repairs” which is situated in Krugersdorp on the West Rand, where they are still situated today at no.4 Lotz Street Delporton next to the Jack Taylor Airfield.

Mark obtained his license from the Soaring Society of South Africa’s Technical section to do all repairs on sailplane and motor gliders. He also attended and received certificates in Fabric covering and repairs to fabric covered aircraft as well as painting preparation and finishing. During the past 7 years Mark and his team have repaired and refurbished more than 80 aircraft.

We now have our own signage company to offer all types of advertising decals and stickers. Mandatory Modifications carried out . ( Urban Air UFM-11 & 13 )
